SQUAD RECON (Squad Reconnect)
Squad-sized element reunions focus on reconnecting the bonds of brotherhood/sisterhood through outdoor activities. Harnessing the power of the earth & ocean to remind warriors they are strong mentally and physically. The squad leader fills out an application and needs a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 12.
- Squads will select one outdoor-focused activity – Hiking, Surfing (and eventually winter and summer sports)
- Squads will select dates that work for the group based on a calendar Warfighter Overwatch provides.
- Upon acceptance into the program, the squad will meet with the guide(s) via Zoom to discuss the training and requirements, WO will send out customized t-shirts & other WO swag to all squad participants and meet a minimum of 2x a month with the guide(s) via Zoom.
- Squads are required to participate in training prior to the event and participate in other training/calls and get fitted at the outdoor/dive shop for appropriate measurements.
